Angela Nelson Injured in Virginia Car Accident

On April 19, 2025, a vehicular collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 53 and S 12th Avenue in Virginia, St. Louis County, Minnesota, resulting in injuries to Angela Nelson and another driver. At approximately 9:23 p.m., a 2013 Chrysler Town & Country, operated by 40-year-old Angela Mae Sleen of Eveleth, was traveling north on Highway 53 and attempting to turn west onto S 12th Avenue when it collided with a southbound 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by 52-year-old Angela Patricia Nelson, also of Eveleth. The impact caused the Chevrolet to veer off the roadway, subsequently striking an unoccupied Ford vehicle. Authorities, including the Virginia Police, St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, and Virginia Fire Department, responded to the scene.

Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were promptly transported to Virginia Hospital for medical attention. The airbags in both vehicles deployed during the crash, and both individuals were wearing seat belts, with no indication of alcohol involvement. The road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the incident, which remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol and local law enforcement.
