Benjamin Wong Involved in Traffic Collision on Highway 61
On June 20, 2025, at 17:13, a traffic collision occurred on northbound Highway 61 at Mile Post 41 in Silver Creek Township, Lake County, Minnesota. The incident involved a 2011 Toyota Rav-4 traveling southbound and a 2023 Honda Pilot traveling northbound. The vehicles made contact near Mile Post 41, resulting in the Toyota Rav-4 rolling into the east ditch and coming to rest on all four tires, while the Honda Pilot rolled into the west ditch and came to rest on its roof. Benjamin Wong, a 49-year-old male passenger in the Toyota Rav-4, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Lakeview Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Toyota Rav-4, 45-year-old Ker Yang, and the other passengers—18-year-old Gaochong Vang, 11-year-old Sunshine Vang, and 9-year-old Rose Yang—all escaped without injury. The driver of the Honda Pilot, 65-year-old Glen Lee Reno, and his passenger, 63-year-old Margene Toraason Reno, also reported no injuries. All individuals involved were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the collision.
