Misty Jefferson Dies in Seminole County Moped Crash

On June 20, 2025, a fatal crash occurred in Seminole County, Oklahoma, involving a moped and a pickup truck. The incident took place near the intersection of NS 3560 Road and EW 1410 Road, approximately seven miles east of Konawa. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the moped, driven by 35-year-old Kody B. Stewart of Seminole, was traveling southbound on NS 3560 Road when it failed to stop at a stop sign and turned east onto EW 1410 Road. A 2013 Ford F-150, traveling in the opposite direction, struck the moped as it entered the roadway.

Misty M. Jefferson, 38, of Seminole, was a passenger on the moped and was pronounced dead at the scene by Mercy EMS. Stewart was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in critical condition. The driver and passenger of the pickup truck were uninjured. OHP noted that neither Stewart nor Jefferson was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, which occurred around 7:46 p.m.
