Dana Redd Dies in Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Macon, Georgia

A fatal traffic collision occurred early Tuesday morning on Hawkinsville Road, north of the Avondale Circle intersection in Macon, Georgia. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the incident was reported at approximately 2:48 a.m. on May 6, 2025. A Saab, traveling northbound, collided with a motorcycle also proceeding in the same direction. The motorcyclist, identified as 55-year-old Dana Wayne Redd of Macon, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones confirmed that notification of Redd’s next of kin has been completed. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the factors contributing to the collision.
