Dennis Lewis, Jr. Killed in Motorcycle Accident with Semi-Truck in Green Oaks

On July 18, 2025, at approximately 2:35 p.m., a fatal collision took place at the intersection of Route 176 and Bradley Road in Green Oaks, Illinois. Dennis Lewis, Jr., a 35-year-old resident of Round Lake Beach, was operating a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Route 176 with a green light when a 2008 Peterbilt semi-truck, driven by a 50-year-old man from McHenry, executed a left turn across his path. The resulting impact between the motorcycle and the semi-truck left Lewis with fatal injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Team is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident. Preliminary autopsy findings from the Lake County Coroner’s Office indicate that Lewis succumbed to blunt force injuries to the head and neck.
