Desiaree Coley and Cassidy Lott Esterson Killed in Crisp County Crash
On February 19, 2025, a devastating head-on collision occurred on Interstate 75 near milepost 103 in Crisp County, Georgia, claiming the lives of two women in the early morning hours. Desiaree Coley, aged 27, and Cassidy Lott Esterson, aged 35, both residents of Douglas, Georgia, were identified as the victims by Crisp County Deputy Coroner Willie Williams. The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office reported that the crash took place around 1:00 a.m., when a vehicle driven by Esterson, traveling north in the southbound lane, collided with Coley’s southbound vehicle. Deputies, already mobilized to locate the wrong-way driver following a 911 call, arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, where both drivers were pronounced deceased.
The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Esterson was operating her vehicle in the incorrect direction at the time of the collision. Blood samples from the scene have been submitted to the State Crime Lab for analysis as part of an ongoing investigation. Assisting in the response and investigation were Crisp County Fire Rescue, Crisp County EMS, the Cordele Police Department, and the Crisp County Coroner.
