Fatal Pedestrian Accident on I-75 in Macon: Victoria Otto Identified as Victim
On the early morning of February 16, 2025, a tragic incident unfolded on Interstate 75 near Riverside Drive in Macon, Georgia. According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, two sisters were traveling northbound when an argument prompted them to pull over to the side of the road. The passenger, 28-year-old Victoria Otto, exited the vehicle and attempted to cross the interstate on foot. In a devastating turn of events, she was struck by a passing vehicle that did not remain at the scene.
Victoria Otto was pronounced deceased at the location of the incident by responding emergency personnel. Her sister, the driver of the vehicle, was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation to identify and locate the driver responsible for the collision.
