Injury Crash Involving Christopher Trader on Southbound 35 in Duluth, Minnesota

On April 2, 2025, at 12:18 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on southbound Interstate 35 at 40th Avenue West in Duluth, St. Louis County, Minnesota, as documented by the Minnesota State Patrol under Incident Case Report 25270580. The incident involved a 2019 Dodge Caravan, driven by Nathan Allen Chambers, 38, of Cloquet, Minnesota, and a 2017 Chevy Silverado, driven by Christopher Sean Trader, 23, of Duluth, Minnesota. According to the report, the Dodge Caravan was traveling in the left lane, followed by the Chevy Silverado in the same lane, when the Caravan attempted to change lanes. The Caravan lost control on snow- and ice-covered roads, returned to the left lane, struck the Silverado, and ultimately came to rest in the right ditch.

All individuals involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Christopher Trader and his passenger, Madilyn Marie Myhrman, 23, of Duluth, were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, while Nathan Chambers and his passenger, Karen Louise Lepisto, 85, of Duluth, were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital. Airbags deployed in both vehicles, and all occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. No alcohol involvement was reported. The Duluth Police Department, Duluth Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance provided assistance at the scene.
