Earnest Harrell and Suhaib Hassan Involved in Fatal Crash on I-40 Near Seminole

On February 6, at approximately 2 a.m., a tragic accident occurred on Interstate 40 near Seminole, claiming the life of Earnest Harrell, a 63-year-old truck driver from Edmond, Oklahoma. Harrell was traveling his weekly route to Hugo when 19-year-old Jase Wilson of Shawnee, driving the wrong way on the interstate, collided with a semi-truck operated by 63-year-old Suhaib Hassan of Harris, Texas, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Harrell’s vehicle subsequently struck Hassan’s semi-truck, resulting in Harrell’s death at the scene, while Hassan sustained critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Wilson was arrested on manslaughter complaints through the Seminole Nation, with authorities anticipating additional charges as the investigation progresses.
