Elsy Delgado Gonzalez Killed in Edmond Vehicle Incident
On August 9, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a fatal incident occurred at the intersection of East 15th Street and Timberlake Avenue in Edmond, Oklahoma. Elsy Maria Delgado Gonzalez, a 28-year-old woman, fell from a moving GMC Sierra Denali and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver, identified as Omar Alexis Rodriguez Cruz, along with two other occupants, Fernanda Valenzuela Mora and Faruk Jose Del Nostro Campos, fled the scene. The Edmond Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Technical Investigations Unit identified and arrested the three suspects. Cruz faces complaints of failure to stop for an accident resulting in death and obstruction, while Mora and Campos were arrested on complaints of being accessories to a felony.The investigation remains active, with no additional suspects reported. The Edmond Police Department continues to process evidence and witness statements to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
