Eric Hampton Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on I-44 in Creek County, Oklahoma

On the morning of August 23, 2025, a two-vehicle collision occurred on I-44 in Creek County, Oklahoma, involving 40-year-old Eric D. Hampton. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 52-year-old Lloyd A. Gray mistakenly entered the westbound off-ramp to U.S. Highway 66 while following GPS directions, resulting in a head-on crash with Hampton’s vehicle.

Both individuals sustained minor injuries and were transported to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa for treatment. Authorities have notified the families of both drivers.
