Eric Winston Injured in Fatal Train Collision in Wrightsville, Arkansas

At approximately 4:53 PM on August 31, 2025, a fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Bennie Barnes Road and Gannaway Road in Wrightsville, Arkansas. According to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, a 2025 Mercedes-Benz traveling eastbound crossed onto a railroad track and into the path of an oncoming train. The vehicle was subsequently struck by the train.

Eric Lashun Winston, age 56, of Little Rock, Arkansas, was a passenger in the vehicle and sustained injuries. He was transported to UAMS for medical treatment. The driver, identified as 34-year-old Alexis Dominique Works of Wrightsville, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Conditions at the time of the incident were reported as clear with dry road surfaces. The investigation is being conducted by the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.
