Malik Aburas Identified as Victim in Fatal Crash at 99th and Harlem in Chicago Ridge

A fatal vehicle collision occurred late Sunday evening, August 31, 2025, at the intersection of 99th Street and Harlem Avenue in Chicago Ridge, Illinois. The Cook County Medical Examiner confirmed the death of 22-year-old Malik Aburas of Oak Lawn, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved. The incident, which took place around 10 p.m., resulted in severe damage to two vehicles and multiple injuries.

Emergency personnel from the Chicago Ridge Police Department and the Bridgeview Fire Department responded swiftly, transporting four individuals to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
