Fatal Cherokee County Crash Claims Life of Nash Tannehill, 25, of Tahlequah

A fatal collision occurred in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, resulting in the death of 25-year-old Nash Tannehill of Tahlequah. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported that the incident took place around 12:22 p.m. on OK-82 near East Beaverson Road. Tannehill was traveling northbound when a southbound vehicle attempted a left turn into a gas station parking lot. During this maneuver, the front-right side of the turning vehicle was struck by Tannehill.

Although OHP did not specify the type of vehicle Tannehill was operating, it was confirmed that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Tannehill was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries were reported for the driver of the other vehicle involved. The incident remains under investigation by authorities.
