Fatal Crash in Corpus Christi Claims Two Lives

On March 2, 2025, a fatal crash occurred just before 8 p.m. off County Road 44 in Corpus Christi, Texas. A 26-year-old woman failed to stay in her lane and collided with another vehicle, resulting in the deaths of 26-year-old Justin Buentello, a passenger in the struck vehicle, and an unborn child carried by the pregnant driver of that vehicle. The pregnant driver and another passenger were hospitalized following the incident. The driver believed to have caused the crash admitted to consuming alcohol beforehand, and blood test results are still pending.
