Fatal Early Morning Crash on I-44 in Oklahoma City Claims One Life

A tragic car accident occurred in the early hours of May 2, 2025, on Interstate 44 at Western Avenue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, resulting in the loss of one life and injuries to two others. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported that the collision took place at approximately 2:03 a.m., involving a vehicle driven by Sergio Ibarra, 29, with passenger Alex Alvarado, 36, and a car operated by 23-year-old Katelyn Callahan. Emergency medical services (EMS) personnel arrived promptly at the scene, where Callahan was sadly pronounced deceased, marking a somber moment for the Oklahoma City community.
