Fatal Traffic Accident in Albany Claims Life of Virginia Grant

On February 14, 2025, a tragic traffic accident occurred at the intersection of W. Oglethorpe Boulevard and S. Cleveland Street in Albany, Georgia. According to the Albany Police Department (APD), officers responded to the scene at approximately 9:20 p.m. and discovered a collision involving a black Land Rover traveling eastbound on W. Oglethorpe Boulevard and a white Honda Accord traveling southbound on Cleveland Street.

The front-seat passenger in the Honda, identified as 41-year-old Virginia Grant, succumbed to her injuries from the accident. The driver of the Honda sustained an injury to his left leg, while the driver of the Land Rover was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital with minor injuries and remains in stable condition.
