Fatal Vehicular Accident Claims Life of Josephine Halby in Farmingdale, NY

On the morning of Friday, July 11, 2025, a fatal vehicular accident occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Conklin Street in Farmingdale, New York. According to homicide detectives, a 47-year-old male operating a cement truck struck a female pedestrian while making a left turn onto westbound Conklin Street. The pedestrian, later identified as 69-year-old Josephine Halby of Farmingdale, sustained severe bodily trauma and was airlifted to a nearby hospital by the Nassau County Police Department Helicopter.

Despite emergency medical efforts, Ms. Halby succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and no other injuries were reported.
