Father and Son Jose Quevedo and Joshua Quevedo Sanchez Killed in Vancouver, Washington Crash (September 19, 2025)

On September 19, 2025, a father and son were fatally struck by a vehicle in Vancouver, Washington. The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. at Northeast 137th Avenue and Northeast 64th Circle. The victims, identified as 28-year-old Jose Quevedo and his 6-year-old son, Joshua Quevedo Sanchez, were walking along the road when they were hit by a driver. The area reportedly lacked a sidewalk due to ongoing construction.

According to police, Jose Quevedo was pronounced deceased at the scene, while Joshua Quevedo Sanchez was transported to Randall Children’s Hospital in critical condition. He later succumbed to his injuries. The driver, James Paulson, has been charged in connection with the incident, with witnesses reporting that he was driving "aggressively" prior to the collision.
