Paul Hendricks Identified as Man Killed by Train in Thurston County, Washington (September 18, 2025)

On the evening of September 18, 2025, a man was fatally struck by an Amtrak train on railroad tracks near Durgin Road Southeast, which borders Thurston and Pierce counties in Washington. Emergency personnel were dispatched at approximately 6:30 p.m. following a 911 call from Amtrak.

Upon arrival, officials pronounced the man deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Paul Hendricks. The Thurston County Coroner's Office reported that Hendricks died from multiple blunt force injuries. The incident is currently under investigation by the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner.
