Harper Moyski Remembered After Minneapolis Catholic School Shooting

On August 27, 2025, tragedy struck Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, when a mass shooting claimed the lives of two children, including 10-year-old Harper Moyski. Moyski, described by her family as a beloved older sister, was fatally shot during a targeted attack that left 18 others injured, most of them children. The shooter, identified as Robin Westman, opened fire from outside the school’s church building using multiple firearms, ultimately taking their own life at the scene.

In a statement, Harper’s parents, Michael Moyski and Jackie Flavin, expressed the depth of their grief: “Our hearts are broken not only as parents, but also for Harper's sister, who adored her big sister and is grieving an unimaginable loss.” As investigations continue into the shooter's motives and online activity, the community remains in mourning. The incident underscores a persistent and systemic failure to protect children from senseless violence in schools—an issue that continues to provoke national outrage and calls for reform.
