Inez Blair Killed at Fort Worth Bus Stop Following High-Speed Crash – July 19, 2025
On July 19, 2025, a fatal collision in Fort Worth, Texas, claimed the life of 68-year-old Inez Blair. According to the Fort Worth Police Department, a black pickup truck lost control and veered off the roadway near the 5500 block of Lancaster Avenue, crashing into a bus stop and subsequently a gas station building. Blair, who had been waiting at the bus stop while running errands, was killed at the scene. Two others were also injured in the incident.
Police have arrested De'Tavius Hayes, 24, and Deovion Alexander, 22, in connection with the crash. Investigators report the crash stemmed from a prior vehicle collision involving the two men. One party allegedly fled without exchanging information, prompting a high-speed pursuit that resulted in the deadly wreck. Both suspects now face charges related to Collision Involving Death. Blair, a retired postal worker and mother of four, is remembered by her family for her compassion and resilience.
