Joshua Thomas Dies in Fatal Car Crash in West Valley City

On July 20, 2025, at approximately 1:20 a.m., a fatal car crash occurred on the Mountain View Corridor in West Valley City, Utah. Joshua Thomas, a 34-year-old resident, was driving southbound in a black Trans Am when his vehicle was struck on the driver's side by a black Lexus SUV. The SUV, operated by a 19-year-old driver, allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of 6200 South and the Mountain View Corridor, resulting in the collision.Emergency crews responded to the scene, but Thomas succumbed to his injuries while being transported to a local hospital.
