Jeffrey and Diane Moniz Die in Head-On Collision in Dartmouth, Massachusetts
On Saturday, May 24, 2025, a motor vehicle accident in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, claimed the lives of Jeffrey Moniz, 76, and Diane Moniz, 76, both residents of Westport. The incident occurred just before 10:30 a.m. at 422 Old Westport Road when a sports utility vehicle, operated by Philip Morris, 63, of Dartmouth, crossed the double yellow line and collided head-on with the sedan driven by Jeffrey Moniz, in which Diane Moniz was a passenger. The couple was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased upon arrival.
The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, led by Thomas M. Quinn III, reported that Philip Morris sustained minor injuries and has been charged with two counts of motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation and a marked lanes violation.
