John Russell Suffers Severe Injury in Power Saw Accident

On Saturday, 5/24/25, evening, John Russell, a resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, sustained a severe injury while operating a power saw at a job site. Russell, who co-owns a handyman business with his wife Tammy, was cutting wood in the garage of a Midwest City home when the accident occurred. The saw malfunctioned unexpectedly, severing several fingers on his working hand. Tammy Russell, present at the scene, utilized a jacket as a tourniquet to stem the blood loss and immediately transported her husband to the hospital. Medical staff attempted to salvage the fingers but determined amputation was necessary, leaving Russell with only his thumb.
