Lois Davis Identified as Victim in Fatal Highway 61 Crash

On July 24, 2025, at approximately 4:30 a.m., a fatal incident occurred on Highway 61 in Lamoille, Minnesota. The Minnesota State Patrol identified the victim as 72-year-old Lois Irene Davis of Winona. According to reports, Davis was driving eastbound on County Road 7 when her vehicle crossed Highway 61 and crashed into a ditch. After exiting her vehicle, she attempted to walk back across Highway 61 and was struck by two southbound vehicles. Davis succumbed to her injuries at the scene.The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing. Authorities have reopened Highway 61 following the closure. Family members informed KTTC that Davis was en route to her workplace at Winona Health at the time of the incident.
