Lucille Pederson Involved in Traffic Collision on Highway 95

On June 22, 2025, at 12:10 PM, a traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 95 and Spruce Drive in Princeton Township, Mille Lacs County, Minnesota. The incident involved a 2008 Subaru Forester, driven by 92-year-old Lucille Minnie Pederson of Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, and a 2016 Ford Escape, operated by 21-year-old Emily Rose Lubenow of Dalbo, Minnesota. According to official reports, the Ford Escape was traveling eastbound on Highway 95 and attempted to turn left onto Spruce Drive, crossing the path of the oncoming Subaru Forester. The Subaru struck the passenger side of the Escape, causing it to roll onto its roof in the northwest corner of the intersection. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the collision.

Lucille Pederson sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Cambridge Hospital for treatment. Emily Lubenow also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Northland Hospital. The road conditions were dry at the time of the incident, and emergency response included personnel from North Memorial and the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office.
