Makhan Singh Fatally Struck in Malone Pedestrian Collision

On July 3, 2025, at approximately 4:29 p.m., a fatal collision occurred on State Route 11 in Malone, Franklin County, New York. Makhan Singh, a 79-year-old resident of Malone, was struck by a black 2023 Ford operated by Kelly L. Helm, 38, of Chateaugay, while walking on the roadway. Despite life-saving measures attempted by New York State Police and Malone Rescue, Singh was pronounced deceased at the scene.The New York State Police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
