Matthew Clark Critically Injured in South Salt Lake Hit-and-Run Crash

In South Salt Lake, Utah, on August 16, 2025, Matthew Clark, 42, sustained life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run incident while riding his bicycle near his residence. Clark had left his home early that morning, reportedly attempting to process the recent death of his father, when he was struck by an unidentified driver. Authorities later located the vehicle involved, but the suspect remains at large.

According to statements from Clark’s sister, Emily Clark, a paramedic, the victim suffered extensive injuries including fractures to the pelvis, sternum, and scapula, as well as severe brain trauma. A chest tube was required to drain his lung, and he remains in critical condition. The delay between the collision and discovery of his body on the roadside remains unclear. Law enforcement continues to investigate the case and urges anyone with relevant information to come forward.
