Oscar Lopez Identified as Victim in Fatal Northeast El Paso Crash (August 19, 2025)

A two-vehicle collision on August 18, 2025, in Northeast El Paso resulted in a fatality. The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. in the 13100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard. According to El Paso police, a Ford F-150 traveling southbound lost control while attempting to avoid a collision, crossing into oncoming traffic.

The Ford F-150 struck a Hyundai Elantra and a Toyota Camry. The driver of the Hyundai Elantra, 52-year-old Oscar Lopez, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. The El Paso Police Department's Special Traffic Investigations Unit is currently conducting an investigation into the crash.
