On Thursday, May 29, 2025, at approximately 10:33 a.m., a fatal collision occurred on South OK-28 in Rogers County, Oklahoma, as reported by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The incident involved a 2014 Ram 2500 operated by Paige Webster, aged 30, of Chelsea, and a 2020 Subaru Forester driven by Frances Altman, aged 60, also of Chelsea. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol determined that the collision transpired when Altman failed to yield from a private drive, entering the path of Webster’s northbound vehicle, which subsequently struck Altman’s car in the driver’s door. Both vehicles came to rest on the southbound shoulder of the roadway.
Paige Webster was transported to Hillcrest Hospital by Pafford EMS, where she received treatment for minor abrasions and chest soreness before being released. Frances Altman was pronounced deceased at the scene by Pafford EMS. Altman had been pinned in her vehicle, necessitating extrication by the Foyil Fire Department using the Hurst tool. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol attributed the cause of the collision to Altman’s failure to yield from a private drive.
