Jessica Knight Involved in Fatal Car Crash in Mayes County

On May 29, 2025, a fatal two-vehicle collision occurred in Mayes County, Oklahoma, claiming the life of 91-year-old Bettu Giles of Pryor. The incident, reported by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, took place at approximately 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of OK-20 and N 429 Rd, three miles west of Pryor. Giles, operating a 2017 Lincoln Continental, failed to yield while entering OK-20 and collided with a 2018 Jeep Renegade driven by Jessica Knight, 39, of Claremore.

Giles sustained critical head, trunk, and external injuries and was transported by helicopter to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where she succumbed to her injuries on June 2, 2025. Knight was also admitted to the same facility with trunk internal and arm injuries. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
