Robert Sebastian Fatally Struck in McCurtain County Pedestrian Accident

On July 16, 2025, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Robert Sebastian, 31, of Valliant, Oklahoma, was struck by a van while walking eastbound in the westbound lane of U.S. Highway 70 in McCurtain County. The driver of the van, Joseph Carroll, 39, sustained no injuries in the collision. Sebastian was transported to McCurtain Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the cause of the collision.
