Sa’Moryia Farley Seriously Injured in St. Paul Pedestrian Accident

On July 16, 2025, a seven-year-old girl, Sa’Moryia Farley, sustained severe injuries in a pedestrian accident in St. Paul, Minnesota. The incident took place near the intersection of White Bear Avenue and 5th Street in Ramsey County. According to her mother, Shamika Stroud, Sa’Moryia was struck by a vehicle while walking to a store with her siblings and older cousins, resulting in extensive injuries, including internal bleeding. She was admitted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where she underwent surgery on her femur and is scheduled for additional procedures on her brain and spine.The Minnesota Department of Public Safety reported that in 2019, 1,008 pedestrian crashes occurred statewide, leading to 50 fatalities and 984 injuries, with most fatal incidents involving pedestrians crossing streets. The investigation into the circumstances of Sa’Moryia Farley’s accident remains active, though authorities have not disclosed additional details at this time.
