Ruiz Pardo and Alexandra Ordaz Killed in Lubbock, Texas Collision on August 9, 2025

On August 9, 2025, a violent collision on Milwaukee Avenue in Lubbock, Texas, resulted in the deaths of two individuals. According to the Lubbock Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 1:09 a.m. when 28-year-old Ruiz Pardo attempted to turn east into a convenience store parking lot while driving southbound. At the same time, 34-year-old Jimmy Janssen was traveling north at a high rate of speed. The two vehicles collided, and Pardo's car subsequently struck a utility pole.

Pardo was partially ejected and later died at University Medical Center. His passenger, 31-year-old Alexandra Ordaz, was ejected entirely from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Janssen, who suffered serious injuries, was also transported to UMC. The investigation by Lubbock authorities remains ongoing.
