Samuel Yorek Injured in Highway 10 Collision in Morrison County

On June 18, 2025, at approximately 8:19 AM, a collision occurred on westbound Highway 10 near 330th Street in Scandia Valley Township, Morrison County, Minnesota. The incident involved a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup truck pulling a trailer and a 2023 International Straight Truck. The Dodge Ram was driven by Daniel Michael Prokott, a 60-year-old male from Little Falls, Minnesota, with Samuel Joseph Yorek, a 47-year-old male also from Little Falls, Minnesota, as a passenger. The Straight Truck was operated by Dwight Maurice Collins, a 55-year-old male from Minneapolis, Minnesota, with Merrick Marshall Woods, an 18-year-old male also from Minneapolis, Minnesota, as a passenger.

According to official reports, the Straight Truck attempted to pass the Dodge Ram and trailer but struck the rear of the trailer, causing both vehicles to veer into the right ditch near 330th Street. Samuel Yorek sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Lakewood Hospital in Staples for medical treatment. All individuals involved were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a contributing factor in the collision. The Morrison County Sheriff's Office, Mayo Ambulance, and Scandia Valley Fire responded to the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
