Sheryl Gillson Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Highway 210 Collision in Sylvan Township
At approximately 12:31 PM on September 5, 2025, a serious motor vehicle collision occurred on westbound Highway 210 at 33rd Avenue SW in Sylvan Township, Cass County, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2000 Ford F-150 had stopped to turn south onto Crow Wing River Drive SW when it was rear-ended by a 2002 Honda Accord. Road conditions at the time were reported as dry.
Sheryl Faye Gillson, age 75, of Pillager, Minnesota, was a passenger in the Honda Accord and sustained life-threatening injuries. She was transported by air care to St. Cloud for emergency treatment. The driver of the Honda, 22-year-old Julia Lynn Thomas, and another passenger, 52-year-old Lynnae Dawn Locke, were uninjured. The driver of the Ford F-150, 61-year-old Nona Leigh Blakeman, also reported no injuries. No alcohol involvement was noted, and airbags deployed in the Honda Accord.
