Jesse Pigg Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at McCord and Cherry Streets in Centralia

At approximately 4:30 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of McCord and Cherry Streets in Centralia, Illinois. According to Centralia Police, 27-year-old Dakota Hensley failed to yield at a stop sign on Cherry Street, striking a westbound vehicle on McCord Street operated by 42-year-old Jesse Pigg of Lakewood Drive, Centralia.

As a result of the crash, Jesse Pigg and his passenger, 31-year-old Destiny Pigg of Ashley, sustained injuries and were transported via ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Hensley declined medical treatment at the scene and was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The investigation remains ongoing.
