Stacy Bowers Injured in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash in Grady County, Oklahoma

Stacy Bowers, 59, was injured in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on the evening of August 25, 2025, in Grady County, Oklahoma. The incident took place on U.S. Highway 81 near County Road 1440. Bowers had parked behind a disabled trailer with hazard lights engaged when another southbound vehicle, driven by 74-year-old William Smith, collided with the parked vehicle. The impact caused Bowers’ vehicle to strike the trailer, which in turn struck its owner, Ronald Nutter, who was standing nearby.

Smith, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Both Bowers and Nutter were transported for medical treatment with reported injuries. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
