Stephanie Nelson Injured in Eglon Township Car Accident

On June 13, 2025, at approximately 5:21 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 32 and 5th Avenue South in Eglon Township, Clay County, Minnesota. The incident involved a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Terry William Ginder, 67, of Drayton, North Dakota, and a 2018 Kia Soul, driven by Stephanie Lynn Duerkop Nelson, 51, of Hoffman, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) report, the Silverado, traveling eastbound on 5th Avenue South, failed to yield the right of way after stopping at a stop sign, resulting in a collision with the northbound Kia Soul at the intersection. The road conditions were dry at the time of the accident.

Both vehicles' airbags deployed during the crash. Nelson sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Hospital for medical attention. Ginder and the passenger in the Kia, 16-year-old Jaclynn Marie Nelson of Hoffman, Minnesota, were uninjured.
