Thomas Lucree Killed in Pedestrian Collision on I-75 in Macon, Georgia – August 4, 2025

On August 4, 2025, 39-year-old Thomas Lucree was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 75 near the Bass Road on-ramp in Macon, Georgia. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred just before midnight when the driver of a northbound 18-wheeler reported seeing a man walk into the lanes of the interstate. The driver was uncertain whether contact had been made until authorities later located Lucree’s body in a nearby ditch.

Emergency services responded promptly, but Lucree was declared deceased on-site by paramedics. The circumstances surrounding why Lucree was on the interstate remain unclear, and the case is under active investigation. No charges have been filed as of this time.
