Tragic Death of Kavari Drisdell in Decatur Bicycle Accident

On June 15, 2025, a fatal accident occurred in Decatur, Illinois, resulting in the death of 12-year-old Kavari Drisdell. According to Decatur Police, Kavari was riding his bicycle eastbound across N Van Dyke Street and W King Street when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver, identified as 45-year-old Hassan Woods of Decatur, was arrested for aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol causing death.
