Tragic Workplace Accident Claims Life of Ronald Adams Sr. at Stellantis Dundee Engine Complex

On April 7, 2025, Ronald Adams Sr., a 61-year-old worker at the Stellantis Dundee Engine Complex in Dundee, Michigan, tragically lost his life in a workplace accident. Reports indicate that Adams suffered fatal crushing injuries to his upper torso when an overhead gantry engaged, pinning him to a conveyor. The incident has left his family, friends, and coworkers in mourning, and our deepest sympathies are extended to all those affected by this devastating loss. The lack of detailed information from Stellantis, the United Auto Workers (UAW) union, and the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) has only deepened the sense of urgency surrounding this tragedy.

In response to the secrecy shrouding the circumstances of Adams’ death, the International Workers Alliance of Rank-and-File Committees (IWA-RFC) has initiated an independent investigation, spearheaded by rank-and-file workers. This effort reflects a growing demand for transparency and accountability in industrial workplaces, where fatalities like this one highlight the critical need for improved safety measures.
