Casey Brown Injured in Head-On Collision on U.S. Highway 12 Near Silver Creek
On the morning of April 7, 2025, a serious head-on collision occurred on U.S. Highway 12 near Silver Creek, Washington, resulting in injuries to both drivers involved. According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident took place at approximately 8:50 a.m. when Robert L. Sitton, 58, of Morton, was driving a gray 2004 Buick Rendezvous westbound. Sitton reportedly crossed into the eastbound lane at milepost 80 in an attempt to pass traffic, where he collided head-on with a 2009 Ford Focus driven by Casey L. Brown, 35, of Ocean Park. The impact caused the Buick to come to rest in the eastbound lane and the Ford to veer into the eastbound ditch.
Both drivers sustained injuries in the crash. Sitton was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital for medical attention, while Brown was airlifted to Tacoma General Hospital due to the severity of his injuries. The Washington State Patrol determined that the cause of the collision was unsafe passing and confirmed that no drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
