On the afternoon of Friday, September 13, 2025, an 81-year-old man from Inola, Oklahoma, identified as Gary Nixon, was injured in a two-vehicle collision in Mayes County. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on US 412 near County Road S 427. Nixon was in the process of slowing down to make a turn onto the county road when his vehicle was struck from behind by a car driven by Trina L. Jones, 61, of Pryor.
