Vehicle Collision on Highway 30 in Lewisville Injures Four, Including Jeanette York

On April 25, 2025, at approximately 3:49 PM, a vehicle collision occurred on Highway 30 at Lewis Street East in Lewisville, Watonwan County, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2009 Kia Sportage and a 2011 Honda Civic, both traveling northbound, collided under dry road conditions. The incident resulted in injuries to all four occupants of the vehicles.

The driver of the Honda Civic, 42-year-old Jennifer Elyse Haugen of New Ulm, Minnesota, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Saint James ER for treatment. The Kia Sportage was driven by 54-year-old Tammy Michelle Nix of Lewisville, Minnesota, who also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Madelia Hospital. Two passengers in the Kia Sportage, 9-year-old Alyssa York and 51-year-old Jeanette York, both from Welcome, Minnesota, were also injured and transported to Madelia Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. All individuals involved were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the incident. The Minnesota State Patrol, along with the Madelia Police Department and Watonwan County Sheriff's Office, responded to the scene.
