Wade Kenneth Halvorson Killed in McLeod County, Minnesota Semi-Truck Collision on Highway 212

Wade Kenneth Halvorson, 60, was killed in a fatal traffic collision on the morning of Sunday, August 24, 2025, in McLeod County, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 7:56 a.m. when a 2014 Peterbilt semi-truck traveling eastbound on Highway 212 collided with Halvorson’s westbound 2018 Honda Civic near Tagus Avenue in Collins Township.

Halvorson, a resident of Waconia, was pronounced dead at the scene. A child passenger in the semi-truck was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. No further details have been released regarding contributing factors or potential charges.
