Antonietta Ramirez-Garcia Injured in U.S. 97 Head-On Crash Near Chelan, Washington on October 18, 2025
In Chelan, Washington, on October 18, 2025, 31-year-old Bridgeport resident Antonietta Ramirez-Garcia was injured in a severe head-on collision on U.S. Highway 97 near milepost 236. According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 3:21 p.m. when a southbound 2003 Subaru Legacy, driven by 22-year-old Jackson T. Mallory of Seattle, crossed the center line and struck Ramirez-Garcia’s northbound 2016 GMC Canyon pickup.
Ramirez-Garcia and four children, aged 14, 11, 10, and 10 months, were transported to Lake Chelan Hospital for medical evaluation. One of the children was later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The driver of the Subaru was airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center with serious injuries. Authorities cited “failure to maintain lane” as the preliminary cause of the crash, though the investigation remains ongoing. Both vehicles were totaled, and all occupants were reportedly wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
