Ashley D. Allen Injured in Head-On Crash on U.S. Highway 49 in Greene County, Arkansas on February 14, 2026; One Driver Killed

A serious head-on collision on U.S. Highway 49 in rural Greene County, Arkansas, on February 14, 2026, left one person dead and two others injured. The crash occurred at approximately 5:27 p.m. near 5360 U.S. Highway 49 when a northbound 2007 Cadillac crossed the center line into the southbound lanes and collided with an oncoming 2019 Kia.

Ashley D. Allen, 47, of Brookland, Arkansas, was a passenger in the Kia at the time of the crash. Allen sustained injuries and was transported to Arkansas Methodist Medical Center for medical treatment. The vehicle was driven by Bryan K. Parker, also of Brookland, who was likewise injured. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Cadillac, 58-year-old Melissa A. Alsup of Paragould, died as a result of the collision. Officials reported cloudy weather but dry road conditions at the time of the incident. The crash remains under investigation by Arkansas State Police.
