Bria Allen Killed in Weather-Related Head-On Collision in Gurnee, Illinois on November 10, 2025

On the night of November 10, 2025, a severe weather-related crash in Gurnee, Illinois resulted in the death of 29-year-old Bria Allen of Evanston. According to police reports, the incident occurred at approximately 8:54 p.m. on Grand Avenue above Interstate 94. A driver operating a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban lost control after striking a patch of ice during the season’s first snowstorm. The vehicle crossed the center median and entered the eastbound lanes, colliding head-on with the 2007 Ford Focus driven by Allen. The impact forced Allen’s vehicle into a ditch, where she was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force injuries.

A 29-year-old woman from Waukegan and her two children, aged five years and eight months, were transported to local hospitals with injuries of unknown severity. Authorities reported no additional injuries. The Gurnee Police Department, in coordination with the Major Crash Assistance Team, continues to investigate the circumstances of the collision as winter weather conditions contributed to hazardous roadway conditions throughout the area.
